Sit-N-Study is a desktop app for macOS 10.14 and above, Windows 10 and above, and Ubuntu 18.04 and above. Use Get the desktop app on the home page. The email you receive has Mac, Windows, and Linux links.

Yes. A new install opens straight into the desktop app and does not ask you to log in. Study and coins stay only on that computer.

Create or sign in at https://parent.sitnstudy.com. On the desktop app, open Parent settings and choose Login to Parent Portal, then enter the parent email and passcode. Do that when you want the phone and computer linked.

Use the form on the home page. Enter your email and the student's age or year group. We email the download links. For extra help, write to support@sitnstudy.com.

Fill in the form on the home page. We email Mac, Windows, and Linux installer links. The page itself does not start a download. Check spam if the message does not arrive within a minute.

That is normal for a first install. In Finder, Control-click the Sit-N-Study app and choose Open, then confirm. You can also allow it under System Settings, Privacy and Security.

Choose More info, then Run anyway. Sit-N-Study is not yet widely signed, so Windows may warn the first time you install it.

The Linux build is an AppImage. After it downloads, make it executable with chmod +x on the file, then run it. Ubuntu 18.04 and above is the baseline we test.

On the Wallet screen, type the parent PIN on the keyboard. There is no PIN box. The default is 1010. That opens Parent settings. Change it under Parent PIN, then Save.

In Parent settings, Target and Rewards sets the daily target and score for each study site, plus custom coin rewards. Approve or decline reward requests there. Balance is where you grant or deduct coins.

The child opens the Wallet and buys Unlock with coins, at 1 minute per coin. That starts a timed break. Custom reward prices are set under Target and Rewards in Parent settings.

Award Stickers in Parent settings picks the GIF themes shown when the child earns coins. Add a keyword, test it, and optionally turn on surprise stickers.

Parental Control turns kiosk mode and the App Blocker on or off. You can allow or deny specific Mac bundle IDs or Windows .exe names so only chosen apps can run during study.

Open Bookmarks in Parent settings. Add a URL, title, icon, and a coin amount. Those bookmarks appear in the left-hand list for the child to open.

In Parent settings open Login to Parent Portal. Enter the parent email and passcode. After that, the phone shows live progress while the desktop app is running. Earlier study and coins stay only on that computer.

The child picks a study bookmark from the left-hand list, earns coins, then spends them on Unlock or a custom reward. Parents change targets and custom reward prices in Parent settings, and the wallet in Parent settings or, once the desktop app is linked, in the parent portal.

On https://parent.sitnstudy.com, Settings includes Awards, Wallet Balance, Timers, and App Settings. Notifications, Quiet Mode, and Parental Control appear when they are turned on. Home shows live progress while the desktop app is running. Use the account menu to switch child, see the passcode, or sign out.

Home is the live session. Dashboard is session history. Apps is the child's study sites. There is also a tab for incomplete or abandoned work. Some accounts also show a lesson planner, skills, chat, or logs.
