Turn your child's distractions into motivation to study

Sit-N-Study blocks all apps and websites on the child's computer during study time, and lets the child earn them as rewards.

How I turned my child's 15 mins of study to 3 hours

I have a 12-year-old son. Whenever I left him to study on his computer, he would end up playing games or watching cartoons. I could not take the computer away because he needed it for homework, and I could not sit beside him while he was studying.

So I created Sit-N-Study, a Desktop App that lets me control which Apps my son can use while he is studying. Using the familiar positive-reinforcement strategy, I made a rule: study to earn games as reward. Over a few weeks, his study time grew from around 15 mins to 3 hours.

Sit-N-Study is a tool for building a habit to study.

The computer is needed to study

You cannot take the comouter away since most homework and learning happens online now.

Adults cannot supervise every minute

Parents, teachers, and tutors need a way to keep the study focused while they do their own chores / work.

Distractions hide child's strengths

If the child doesnt focus on studying, their strengths and struggles remain hidden.

Turn distractions into motivation

Sit-N-Study does not have any educational content on its own. It is a web-browser in which you can add the Education App your child's school has prescribed.

Use your own or school's content

Add your child's homework, tutoring, or self-learning platforms to Sit-N-Study.

App blocker would cut off distractions

All Apps are blocked while studying. You can add Apps and websites to the allow-list.

Favourite Apps turn into Rewards

Add the child's favourite apps, websites, or physical rewards, then let the child earn them by studying.

See live progress, help and celebrate

As the study session progresses, get notified for celebrating your child's wins and providing help.
